Cnauto On January 8, Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the “Defective Automobile Product Recall Management Regulations” and the “Defective Automobile Product Recall Management Regulations implementation Measures”. A total of 967 imported 2019-2020 Urus series manufactured between September 21, 2018 and July 21, 2020 will be recalled starting from January 8, 2021.
Vehicles within the scope of the recall is due to the reason of the supplier, engine compartment fuel for quick joint of tubing in the long run under the condition of high temperature thermal degradation can occur, in extreme cases may appear crack and cause rapid tapping oil leak, may cause the engine compartment fire, when faced with open fires pose a safety hazard.
Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., LTD., through lamborghini authorized dealers, will replace fuel supply pipes (including improved quick connectors) free of charge for vehicles covered by the recall in order to eliminate potential safety hazards.
Emergency measures: Before the vehicle is recalled for maintenance, users should immediately stop the vehicle and turn off the engine if they smell fuel odor near the engine compartment, and contact the nearest authorized dealer for inspection and treatment of the vehicle.
